Park Bar is on the rooftop of a multi-storey car park in Bairro Alto — take the lift to the top floor and emerge onto a terrace with a 360-degree view of Lisbon, the Tagus, and the Cristo Rei statue across the river. The cocktails are excellent. The view is extraordinary. Go at sunset.
The view from Park Bar's rooftop terrace is the finest of any bar in Europe. To the west, the Tagus estuary and the Cristo Rei statue. To the north, the Bairro Alto neighbourhood and the São Jorge Castle. To the south, the Alfama and the 25 de Abril Bridge. At sunset, the light on the city is extraordinary.
Park Bar's cocktail programme is built around Portuguese spirits and local botanicals — Ginjinha (cherry liqueur), Medronho (arbutus berry spirit), and the extraordinary range of Portuguese wines. The Ginjinha Sour is excellent. The natural wine selection is one of the best in Lisbon.
